When my children were young, I spent a lot of time going to birthday parties. I wanted those cute calling cards for my children to attach to birthday gifts but being on a tight budget, I decided I would make my own. A girlfriend saw my cards and asked me if I would like to do a show in her home. I quickly scrambled to put a display together and was tickled by the response. Soon I was making birthday party invitations, personalized stationery for thank-you’s, Christmas cards, and luggage tags for family and friends. One thing led to another and juggling family, teaching and card making, Kim's Custom Cards grew from a hobby to retail business.
 
During those first few years, Kim's Custom Cards moved from a computer armoir in the upstairs hallway, to the dining room and then began to take over the whole house! Finally we grew out of the house and to a space of our own (much to my family's relief!). Kim's Custom Cards has grown into a retail business through direct sales from special orders, by participating in area shows, and through the website. Additonally, we have increased our offerings by adding many unique gift, home decor and desktop organizational lines which we enjoy and think you will too.
 
Many thanks to my dear husband Jon and our three children Lauren, Ashley and Josh. They all help me sort, cut, package, stock, deliver cards and sometimes chase UPS trucks. At times, it has taken over our house and lives and yet they are still supportive. Thank you to my mother, mother-in-law, father, sister and good friend, Donna, who have traveled far and wide and given up their weekends to help me do shows. And many thanks to the wonderful ladies who work with me to help produce our bright, fun stationery lines, specialty cards and other gift items.
 
I love creating and designing! Anything around me may serve as my inspiration~a bathing suit at the swimming pool, a particular interest or hobby, an eye-catching color or pattern. Each of my designs has a story and Beware! you never know what may show up on one of my cards! We are so excited about the way the website has expanded our business nationally and even internationally! I hope you enjoy looking at all the unique, fun stationery and gift products we have!
